The producers from Rudnik and its region produce more than any other wicker-producers
in Europe. More than 130-year-old tradition made the local craftsmen unequaled to any others in their own
masterly skill. The most evident confirmation of that proficiency was winning the prestigious bid for a wicker
façade of the Polish Exhibition Pavilion in EXPO 2005. And on a day-to-day basis the quality of Rudnik products
has appreciated for years by importers in the both hemispheres: in Europe, America and Australia. Apart from
of the development of the craft, wicker-working becomes a form of artistic expression, and wicker-workers
of Rudnik are more and more frequently present in the media, for example thanks to the original TV commercial
ordered by one of the telecommunication operators. And the Wickerwork Centre, created in Rudnik, is nowadays
the most modern place of that type in Poland.
It all makes Rudnik enjoy its well-deserved fame as the Polish capital of wickerwork.
